Susanne Hyna chairs the board of Stadtring Bitterfeld-Wolfen 4.0 e.V. The association provides a platform of support for entrepreneurs when dealing with politics, city administrations, authorities, associations and institutions. The aim of the association is to sustainably strengthen and promote value creation for regional businesses and entrepreneurs and to support sustainability and transformation processes within this context. The association also conducts charitable activities.

The BDU is planning the afforestation of an area of communal forest (approx. 15,000 trees on 4 hectares) as part of a major project in cooperation with the “Schutzgemeinschaft Deutscher Wald”. Through this afforestation, the BDU’s forest not only contributes to the capture and long-term storage of CO2, it also helps to preserve biodiversity and counteracts an increase in soil sealing.
